Dividing her residence between Montreal, Canada and Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, Veronica Takács studied art in Paris, France and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She has experimented with oils, charcoal, sculpture and other media but she developed a passion for dry pastels and her latest works are in this medium.
Ms. Takács is presently on the Board of Directors of the Mount Royal Art Association and is a member of the Pastel Society of Eastern Canada, the Montreal Women's Art Association and the Hilton Head Art League. She has had many art exhibitions in the Province of Quebec, and in the States of Maine and South Carolina in the United States. She has also received prizes for her work and has given several lectures and demonstrations on the art of pastel painting before captive audience of artists in other art media.
